All patch orders I have received are in the mail as of today.
For those folks who were paying me in a non-PayPal fashion, I have only received payment from one of you, I already shipped that order out, and I think the recipient already received it. If you sent me money and I have not sent you a patch yet, please drop me an email and we will work it out.
Remember that awesome new logo Oleg Volk dreamed up and I somehow managed to cobble together?
Remember how I promised I would make up patches of that logo?
Remember how the shipment was on its way?
And remember how fundraisers, moves, job hunts, and busted-ass vehicles got in the way of me actually selling the bloody things?
Well, ok, you might have missed that last […]
So by now, everyone should be aware that I am getting patches stitched up with the new “walls of the city” logo (as conceptualized by Oleg Volk) on them, but they are going to be the traditional fabric patches that have been around since… forever.
Not being folks satisfied with the status quo, however, the boys at Monderno went the high-speed-low-drag route, but in an awesome […]
This post will be sticky until the fundraiser concludes. Please scroll down for new posts.
Current Total Donation Amount: (0700 01APR13)
The rules are a little different than last year’s exercise, so pay attention.
How to Earn a Ticket:
1. Every five dollars you donate directly to Honored American Veterans Afield nets you one numbered ticket. 2. DO NOT SEND ME MONEY. All money and goods should go directly to […]
If you want a “walls of the city” patch, let me know before close of business tomorrow! The order is going in sometime tomorrow afternoon, and, as I said, I have no real plans of doing another run, and I will not be procuring that many spares. If you want one, speak up, or forever hold your peace.
(And, by speaking up, I mean “leave a comment on this post or the […]

Who wants patches of the new "walls of the city" logo, as imagined by Oleg Volk and executed by me?
The end patch would be about 3" wide and about 3.9" tall, black merrowed border, with some portion of it being the twill fabric of the actual patch (probably the blue field, if I had to make a wild-assed guess), and with the hook side of velcro on their backs (I now […]
It is that time of the year again… Just like all the previous posts like this one, I am using Google Analytics data, with the same warning that its numbers do not match the numbers generated by other statistics engines. Likewise, we will compare numbers against last year.
Absolute Unique Visitors: 94,843 (35% increase)

Peak Daily Visitors: 1,549 (23JAN12) (27% decrease)
Average Daily Visitors: 478.92 (9% increase)
A slightly-less-stylized version of the last one below:
While this one is more-immediately understandable than the previous attempt, as I mentioned before, I am attempting to steer clear of the acronym “W O T C” for obvious copyright concerns. That said, this design is radically different than anything they brand their products with, so…
Alright, per viewers’ requests, we have:
A: Basically “E” below with the Jefferson-based font instead. My only real complaint with this is that apparently Jefferson really liked dotting his “i”s, and that really screws up the spacing.
B: Back to the crazy-named font, with a different, much simpler flag.
C: And another flag entirely, just for variety.
D: Now, this one, I […]
Alright, so I have taken your input onboard, expanded by abilities with my image-editing program (you are never going to guess what I am using to do this), and churned out a few more options:
A: The original arrangement with a new font – “Quadrata” – rather than the Papyrus that everyone apparently hates (even though it is the unofficial Firefly font).
B: A centered-text version using a font apparently […]
This is probably the best I can do:

A little over two years ago, I noticed an individual knocking around Say Uncle‘s digs whose comments were well-thought-out, reasonable, and remarkably poignant, but whose username lacked any link to any personal weblog. Being the occasionally-generous person I am, I inquired if he was interested in guest-authoring here at "walls of the city".
This morning, bright and early, WizardPC announced that he was heading off into the wilderness […]
