A few weeks ago, I promised to add something involving bacon to the Honored American Veterans Afield fundraiser I am running, and darned if I am not going to deliver.
This, friends, is a knife:
In fact, it is literally a pig-sticker – that is a custom-engraved Ka-Bar Johnson Adventures Baconmaker.
The blade on this thing – 1095 Cro-Van with a Rockwell hardness of 56-58 – is a quarter of [...]

Who wants patches of the new "walls of the city" logo, as imagined by Oleg Volk and executed by me?
The end patch would be about 3" wide and about 3.9" tall, black merrowed border, with some portion of it being the twill fabric of the actual patch (probably the blue field, if I had to make a wild-assed guess), and with the hook side of velcro on their backs (I now understand [...]

First off, check out the new “walls of the city” logo featured in the header image, the favicon for the site, and in the image to the right. The concept is courtesy of none other than Oleg Volk, though I personally sketched out the design you see before you now.
Pretty shiny, no?
So that is the easy part… now the more complicated part:
We have t-shirts… and stickers! (Also, the link [...]

If you have not voted in this poll:
Would you buy a t-shirt with this graphic on it for $20?
Yeah, I could probably spring for 1. Put me down for 2. 3 please, for the fire team. I have to clothe the family; 4. 5 or more, ’cause I am awesome.

A slightly-less-stylized version of the last one below:
While this one is more-immediately understandable than the previous attempt, as I mentioned before, I am attempting to steer clear of the acronym “W O T C” for obvious copyright concerns. That said, this design is radically different than anything they brand their products with, so…

Alright, per viewers’ requests, we have:
A: Basically “E” below with the Jefferson-based font instead. My only real complaint with this is that apparently Jefferson really liked dotting his “i”s, and that really screws up the spacing.
B: Back to the crazy-named font, with a different, much simpler flag.
C: And another flag entirely, just for variety.
D: Now, this one, I have no good explanation for. I [...]

Alright, so I have taken your input onboard, expanded by abilities with my image-editing program (you are never going to guess what I am using to do this), and churned out a few more options:
A: The original arrangement with a new font – “Quadrata” – rather than the Papyrus that everyone apparently hates (even though it is the unofficial Firefly font).
B: A centered-text version using a font apparently based of [...]

This is probably the best I can do:
Thoughts?

Speaking of stroking my ego, and since I seem to have lost my stack of business cards I printed out, I will have to generate some new ones one of these days; however, a thought struck me – I have no real "logo" for this site. Unfortunately, lacking anything even approximating an "artistic" gene, I am not entirely sure what would make a good logo.
So, any thoughts? "Simple" and "reproducible in a variety [...]

Sources – specifically the prop master for NCIS by way of Dennis – are telling me that the Dragon Leatherworks lunchbox custom fabricated for Abby Sciuto will be receiving “a very sweet amount of screen time, and the episode airs April 17th, 2012 (Tuesday) at 8PM Eastern / 7PM Central”. I will be setting up my TiVo to record it as soon as it gets in the window, much though I will be lacking… any [...]
