you are cordially invited to pucker up and…

I have an increasingly nagging suspicion I am not going to make it to wherever I am going the next time I try to board a commercial air flight, which is unfortunate, because I have not seen my parents in a while.

Why? Because flying across the country is neither affordable nor easy any more.

Oh, the other why? Because if some spineless, high-school drop-out tells me to "Freeze", I am just going [...]

do not go gentle

No, this weblog will not be participating in the "National Day of Blogger Silence".

As I have already expressed at other sites, people who participate in that non-event (how can it be an "event" if you do not do anything?) are giving convicted-bomber-and-now-political-terrorist Brett Kimberlin and his despicable supporters exactly what they want – yet another conservative / libertarian / anti-authoritarian / individualistic weblog silenced and suppressed, only this time, you are doing their [...]

welcome to the club

I will admit that it is something of a warped tradition, but a gunblogger has never really "arrived" until they have been cyberstalked and harassed by Guy Cabot (aka "JadeGold") and his facilitator, Michael Bonomo (aka "mikeb302000"). Thankfully, Squeaky has the exactly correct attitude about the whole thing; in short, "piss off".

The post from Bonomo’s all-but-abandoned weblog that Squeaky highlights (she does not link to it, and neither will I), is just chock-a-block [...]

"smoke & thunder" fails at life

So here is how it is.

A website called “Smoke & Thunder” appeared out of the firmament about a week ago and started hijacking names and reputations of pro-rights webloggers in order to provide a good, firm footing of astroturf for this upstart site.  When challenged on this dickish and generally frowned-upon behavior, the mind behind “Smoke and Thunder” engaged in personal attacks against those who dared to question it.  And, finally, when taken [...]

csgv forgot to pay the bills

To keep up with the “maybe I should write new posts today” theme, does everyone remember how Ladd Everitt got the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence’s Twitter feed shut down for harassing, bullying, abusing, trying to intimidate, and “outing” pro-rights webloggers?  That was a pretty impressive display of incompetence, right?

Well, how incompetent would you have to be to allow the domain registration for the CSGV’s webpage to expire?  Pretty damned incompetent:

[...]

leaving my mark

Well, this is a first for my humble little weblog:

Yup, that (item number 8, specifically) is the picture of the email I sent to Twitter regarding the CSGV’s harassment, intimidation, and "outing" of pro-rights webloggers being used as a source for the Wikipedia page on the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence.

Long-time readers will be familiar with my remarkably dim view of Wikipedia, but I am fairly certain this marks the [...]

know them by their words

Why do I so adamantly fight “gun control” supporters almost whenever and wherever possible, even when they harass me and implicitly threaten my family and me?

Why have I taken to calling those individuals “anti-rights cultists”?

Conveniently enough, those two questions have the same answer, provided in a as he quotes from Guns, Democracy, and the Insurrectionist Idea*:

Recognize Insurrectionism as a threat to the entire progressive movement. Too many political progressives [...]

they did this to themselves

… But I am proud to have been the one to stand up and point it out.

[2330 18MAY11 Update]

Since it has come to my attention that the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence has seen fit to further viciously and maliciously lie about my behavior in this incident on their Facebook page, I thought I would set the record straight.  Below is a screencap of the email I sent Twitter:

[...]

putting a face to the cause

Well, I think it is fair to say that Joan Peterson, Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence Ownership board member and weblog writer under the moniker of “Japete”, has finally gone of the deep end. Honestly, it took longer than I was expecting.

In the space of two days, Joan banned Sean Sorrentino for his heinous use of facts to support his argument, and then turns around and speciously accuses him of harassment and [...]
