Granted, I cannot say as though I know anyone who has that much money wasting away in some bank account without any plans for its use, but it sure is fun to dream.

Alternatively, there are some rather substantial rocks off the coast of Alaska, and in a lake out near Gatlinburg, for that matter, that need new landlords… Anyone care to start a nice little community?

I swear, every bloody time I mow, I have to take out twenty or so runners our bushes have sent off into the world to execute some grand take-over-the-universe scheme…

Charging people fees for not maintaining minimum balances is stupid. Period.

Charging people even more fees when their primary bank does a deposit-withdrawal to validate ownership of the account, such that the people in question can move money from their primary bank to their local bank is even more stupid. Period.

In a day and age when I can literally deposit checks to my fee-free account through my gorramed phone, I do not need you for anything other than safety deposit boxes and the cashing of an occasional money order… if you make that more difficult for me than I am willing to tolerate, I will find another local bank. Period.

And you want to know what the absolute best part was? The manager was willing to possibly reconsider the fees if I was willing to “deepen my financial relationship with the bank”. *blink* Excuse me? You want me to bribe a bank just to get it to pull its head out of its ass? Yeah, screw you, mate.

Or is that just me?
