So, I guess I’m “that blogger” now. Haven’t posted in weeks, and all I’m posting today is “sorry I haven’t posted, I’ll try to post more soon”.
Work has been nuts. Raising two kids is…fun! My wife is fantastic, but they’re still a handful. I just need to make time to take pictures of the SIRT pistol in action and that post will go up.
I installed the AR bolt on two separate [...]
I recently had the opportunity to attend a screening of Silver Circle in Tempe (11APR13 at Pollack Cinemas). I quite enjoyed it and would recommend anyone with an opportunity to see other screenings check it out.
At the center of corruption is the Federal Reserve who has gained enormous amounts of control over America’s economy, with disastrous effects beginning to show.
Standing opposite, is the band of Rebels who have vowed to take back the [...]
I’ve got a few new products for which I’m working on writing reviews. They are: Sevigny Carry Plain Rear w/ Fiber Optic Front for my Glock 17 Comp-tac International holster for my Glock 17 SIRT AR Bolt MagHolder.com Horizontal Mag Carrier for Glock and almost finished (just need to snap some pictures) is the SIRT Training pistol.
Are there any products you all would like to see reviewed?
I will note I’ve had better luck [...]
And this bill is wrong.
Let me start by saying I really don’t grok gender identity changes, homosexuality, etc, but I do support an individual’s right to choose to be whomever they want to be, however they want to be. The only caveat is that they don’t infringe upon anyone else’s rights while doing so.
This bill is wrong on a number of levels.
First and foremost it’s none of the government’s business [...]
Quick hit as I try to get some rust off…
In case you hadn’t seen it, my state is ranked number one for firearm’s freedom by guns & ammo!
We’ve got some more steps I’d like to see taken, but we’re getting there. I think we’ll have campus carry soonish. If you’re in AZ and want to see us further entrench ourselves in our top spot, please ensure you’re a member of AZCDL.
So, like Linoge I don’t have much time for writing right now. Not too sure on his specifics, but my reasons is due to the recent birth of my daughter and having some family in town. I’ll try to get back to my horribly irregular blogging schedule sometime closer to the middle of the month.
Find me on twitter if you need me or whatnot.
If you’ve somehow missed it, Sean is doing great work with his NY Boycott List.
It’s great to see that there are over 70 companies on the list with more being added all the time. I’d like to see it grow well over 100. It’s cool to see some big (and quality) names on there. I’m also proud to see that one of my local dealers is on the list. Good for them! Who’s [...]
Sorry for the light posting on my part, something about being crazy busy with a kiddo coming along in the next day or so (she was due on Friday)…
Just a quick note, at this point things are looking good at the federal level for us not getting a new AWB or capacity limit, but things are NOT looking good right now for background checks. 2/3 of my “representatives” from AZ appear poised to sell [...]
We’re probably all well aware of the blunders on the part of Cheaper Than Dirt in the last few months. Now the question is, can they throw enough money at the community to get back into our good graces?
I’ll admit I’ve never been a customer of CTD’s, but I have been following the situation.
I don’t consider their actions to be price gouging, it’s supply and demand. If you really need mags that badly [...]
This week’s QotW comes from the comments on the “No one is coming for your guns” post courtesy of Antonio who resides where the gun control crowd did what they ultimately want: confiscation.

I am a Canadian. I happened upon your website not too long ago and enjoy reading your blog – keep up the great work.Reading this particular piece, about ‘no one wanting to take your guns [...]
I attended another pro-rights rally at the AZ state capitol yesterday. The event was scheduled 12-2 and my wife, son, and I were able to stay until about 1:15. There was a decent turnout, but it seemed a little smaller than the last rally I attended. This time they had a PA system, but I still couldn’t hear them very well.
I saw considerably more long guns being OC’d than last time, but far fewer [...]
So quit being so bitter about it.
This is something that’s brought up time and time again. ”No one wants to take away your guns.” ”No one’s asking for confiscation.” If any pro-rights activists still believe that, I have a bridge for sale. I’m often told that it’s “only the fringe” of anti-gun cultists that want confiscation. If that’s the case, why do so many elected servants nationwide think it’s such a great idea?
I’m not a “Tea Partier” nor am I affiliated with the organization hosting this rally, but I intend to be there in the flesh.
If you’re in Arizona (or anywhere nearby), feel free to come on down and join us. I intend to be OCing a handgun and a long gun. If you can make it, feel free to leave a comment or sync up with me on twitter and we’ll meet up.
If you’re [...]
I’ve been calling weekly at minimum, and daily when opportunity allows, to ensure my elected servants understand that I do not want any further infringement upon the second amendment.
Living in Arizona, one might think that I wouldn’t have a hard time finding my representatives to be firmly in my camp. Unfortunately, I’m not so sure based on the two responses I’ve received in writing. I have spoken with a number of Jeff Flake’s aides [...]
It turns out that the criminal for whom the LAPD was searching for today was not only formerly one of their own, but also anti-civil rights and pro-Obama (but I repeat myself).
Another portion of the story that doesn’t fit the narrative, is the fact that the “only ones” responsible enough to handle guns and properly trained to handle firearms managed to shoot two innocent people during the manhunt.
While I am sorry for the [...]
My state has recently proposed a bill to make it a requirement for students to recite the following oath in order to graduate: I, _________, DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR THAT I WILL SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES AGAINST ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC, THAT I WILL BEAR TRUE FAITH AND ALLEGIANCE TO THE SAME; THAT I TAKE THIS OBLIGATION FREELY, WITHOUT ANY MENTAL RESERVATION OR PURPOSE OF EVASION; AND THAT I WILL [...]
This entry was inspired by this article which popped up somewhere in my web browsing.
Some folks are excited because this helps Rand Paul’s bona fides as being “pro-Israel”. I’m excited because it means less of my money going to fund wars in which I have no interest.
We shouldn’t be giving aid to Israel, we shouldn’t be giving aid to Egypt, we shouldn’t be sending troops to any northern African nations, we shouldn’t still [...]
After hearing about them on the Roadgunner Podcast and the Gun Dudes, I decided to order a magholder from magholder.com.
My EDC is a Ruger LCP, and I was disheartened to see that they did not have a model listed as LCP compatible. After contacting Magholder, they informed me that the 1911 model will hold an LCP (and various other pocket pistol) magazine, but to note in the order instructions that this was for an [...]
There are two somewhat prominent stories that have made headlines recently, both involving government overreaction. Both of these could have been easily avoided without any hoopla or to-do.
The first happened less than 75 miles from where I grew up in rural South Carolina. It appears they had some overreactive employees at a nuclear power plant who called the sheriff’s department after a glider took a single pass over the plant. The police then grossly [...]
I placed an order in late December for a few products from Next Level Training. An AR bolt (green), a SIRT performer pro 110 pistol (green/red), and a weighted training magazine.
After almost a month waiting, they’ve arrived! Here they are as I opened the box from USPS. The bolt doesn’t quite look like it’ll drop in, so I’ll save that for later. The pistol seems good so far, I’m looking forward to training [...]
