Speaking of things for sale, fellow gunblogger and all-around good guy Ron Larimer bit the proverbial bullet and did that which a lot of us want to do but few of us have the nerve to actually execute: went into business for himself. Poking around his When the Balloon Goes Up! store, I see all kinds of odds-and-ends – knives, holsters, flashlights, pens, first aid kits, and so forth – that would be useful to both the concealed/open carrier and the preparedness-minded individual alike, with prices that are at least comparable, and occasionally better, than equivalent other shops.
So if you find yourself needing/wanting something he has on his shelves, check him out and see if you can help a fellow gunny get his idea off the ground.
(And, no, I did not just write this post because he sent me this nifty patch and stickers:
… but they certainly did not hurt.)

Well. I figured that Mora knife was worth getting, and grabbed a few other bits while I was there. The email I got after I ordered informed me that my customer # was 42. That’s got to be a good sign.
Win! Especially with the Mora – I have heard nothing but good things about those.
