Think about your day. You have almost countless opportunities to murder tens, hundreds, and possibly even thousands of people every single waking day. And yet you do not.
Why?
Because, by and large, you are a mature, responsible, reasonable, rational, "civilized" human being who is cognizant of the consequences of his actions and the social contracts that bind us together.
So why do "gun control" extremists seem to believe you will suddenly, radically, magically, and murderously change simply because you happen to have a firearm strapped to your hip?
Because "rational arguments" have never been the strong suits of people who are accurately described as "cultists" or "fundamentalists".

Yep. I carry a gun and a knife almost 100% of the time and often I am annoyed, frustrated and/or angry yet, not once have I had any thought if using the gun or knife. Never ever do either item even pop into my mind.

I travel via mas transit. Every day I see HUNDREDS of people lined up FEET from various types of trains pulling into stations. One push and they’ll get rolled up like a cigarette paper. Never seen an accident.
Same reason why I’ve had some pretty serious arguments with people while I’ve been carrying a gun…yet the idea to clear lever and pull the trigger never crosses my mind.
I, and man many others carry guns for self defense, and every day we prove that that is the SOLE reason.
The antis claim otherwise…but are always wrong.
@ AGirl: Ditto. Since we are functioning members of society, and since we do not react violently to everday occurrences as it is now, we are going to continue being functioning, non-violent members regardless of what tools we happen to have strapped to our waists or not.

@ AuricTech: Fairly likely. There has been more than one person claiming support for “gun control” simply because they “know what they would do with a gun”, and I suppose they figure everyone is just as sick and twisted as they are.
Not saying all folks who support “gun control” are like that, but they do exist.

That is not going to change regardless of what tools are available to us.
