Or trust, depending on how you look at it.
Say I just devised a somewhat good – at least in my opinion – t-shirt design and wanted to put it up for you all to buy. Would you prefer going through CafePress, or would you prefer going through me?
On the one hand, CP (or some similar company) provides you the security of a corporate guarantee, the ability to not use PayPal, and the anonymity of not having to give me your address.
On the other hand, I can guarantee you the t-shirts would be at least $5 less through me, my shipping may end up being a bit cheaper depending how many I can shove in flat-rate boxes, and you will end up with better-quality shirts (in my opinion).
So what do you prefer? I dare say my handling of the Soldiers’ Angels fundraiser demonstrated my trustworthiness, but I would not blame anyone uncomfortable with the notion of mailing off money to a stranger – that is part of the reason I kept myself out of the money loop in that event.

C’mon, Linoge, you aren’t that strange
I’ve had no problem selling leather goods that way, and I’ve no problem buying from individuals over the net – as long as they aren’t asking me help move large sums of money out of their war-torn country…
meh. I don’t buy t shirts online hardly ever (don’t know that I ever have), but I can’t imagine selling them straight off your site would hinder anyone from buying. I say go for it.
I’d just as soon buy directly from you if you’re willing to deal with the hassle.
I’d rather buy directly from you than from cafe press. Also, you may want to consider submitting your design to teefury / riptapparel or something along those lines…or you and ENDO team up and do one like that for guns!
I trust you (even though we’ve never met) over Cafepress. I’ve read your blog for a few years now. You’ve never done me wrong. Go for it! If I like the design, I’ll buy one.

In case it is not overly obvious in my writing, I am not a tremendously trusting person by nature, and I naturally assume much the same of my readership.
Good to see y’all are not as warped as me

And, yeah, I have been talking with Endo, and he has been tremendously helpful… I think I am going to try to get this off the ground before I do anything radical, though
