Better Half and I are now registered for the 06OCT-07OCT Appleseed shoot in Manchester, if anyone else wants to join us. I understand Oddball will be registering for the same event, and I am trying to get Oleg onboard as well.
And yes, I went ahead and snagged a Rifleman Opportunity Card while they were still available; I have some serious reservations about being able to achieve The Patch in only a single weekend.
So, if my lazy, cheap ass can get up and do it, what is your excuse?

If it wasn’t an eight hour drive I’d see if they needed another IIT. I think I’ll be at Ramseur Labor Day and will definitely be at Gaston, SC in October.
Good luck! It is possible to get your patch the first weekend, but it isn’t easy.

I wish you the best of luck. The best advice I can pass along is to really focus on ingesting what the instructors are trying to teach you, and put the pieces together. The biggest obstacle I’ve seen is that some shooters have a hard time of letting go of what is comfortable to them already, in order to learn what really works.
@ JP: Dood. give me some credit; the only Apple product in our house is here because Better Half won it. I do not think she even uses it any more…

@ Bob Owens: The good news is that, being an engineer, I am all about What Works. The better news is Better Half is functionally a blank slate; the only thing that concerns me is joint difficulties in her case.
