[Update]In talking with Dennis, it would appear as though the prop master got his episodes mildly mixed up. From their titles, the one yesterday and the next two are all interrelated, so it figures that they were all probably filmed about the same time. The lunch box will still be getting air time – look for it on the episode being aired on the 1st. Hopefully. [/Update]

I was watching, and did not see it. I imagine it was edited out, like what happened to the holster Michael made for In Plain Sight.

Heya all….Dennis here….from what the prop master indicated, it *was* filmed, and generously at that, and with the overarching plotlines (this past episode was the primer for the last three of the season) there was lots of scene filming taking place, and its all got to get edited into their respective episodes.
They also got another piece from me, this time for the character of Ziva…not sure if it will get filmed, or get air time, but will definitely keep my eyes peeled for sneak-peek stills of the episodes to see if I can spot the latest unit sent to them.
I wondered about that when I saw the end of the episode. I agree, I bet they were all shot around the same time, and probably had scenes for one episode shot the same day as scenes from another if they used the same set or location. After all, why go to the same location three days over three weeks if you can do all of it in one trip? Why set up the lab set three times if all three episodes use the same episode-specific background props?
I guess I’ll be watching tv on Tuesday nights for the next couple of weeks. At least it’s one of the better shows on these days.
So, yeah, sorry to everyone about not checking the names of the episode beforehand and putting 2 and 2 together to realize that this past episode and the next two are all part of the same micro-story-line and thus were probably filmed all together all at once.

So here is to hoping that the lunchbox will show up in one (or both!) of the next two episodes… If nothing else, as Dennis says, a paying customer is a paying customer.
