this should be fun

I just received confirmation from the appropriate source that “walls of the city” will be receiving its first official test-and-evaluation firearm hopefully by the middle of next month.  I am not going to let slip what exactly it is, but I will provide you the following hints:

– The firearm is new to the market.
– I might be talking with the manufacturer about making it mine after the evaluation period.
– It is, unfortunately, not the latter item Robb will be getting to review

Like the title says, this should be interesting…  though Lord knows why anyone would take my advice.

  • Wait, what? How? How did you wrangle this?

More importantly, how can I get a piece of this action for myself?

  • SGB

Can’t wait to read about it.

  • @ Erin Palette: The short version? I asked.

The longer version is that I asked, explained who I was, pointed out the reviews I have listed on the left side of my site, promised a comprehensive, photo-riddled review, and otherwise buttered them up to the point where they agreed.

But, still, crazy what you can get if you just ask for it.

@ SGB: You and me both :) .

Would it by chance be from a Florida based Mfg?
Just got back to the world for a short bit, how’s the Mosin project coming?

  • MAJ Mike

I’m envious, but no one pays attention to my opinions.

  • @ Renegade: Sadly, no, though now that you mention it, maybe I should have a friendly chat with them…

The Mosin project is… coming. Encountered some difficulties that we are sorting out, but I should be posting about it fairly soon.

@ MAJ Mike: Hey, listening to my opinion or not, I get to play with a new toy! :)

Eeeexcellent! I look forward to the Mosin Pix (you simply must also include the ten round magazine as well, Heh. Heh. Heh. Then your move to the dark side will be done)

And that Mfg has three in the “interesting” category, 22mag, .308 and 12.

  • Oh, trust me, there will be pictures galore… Datamancer does not seem to have the 10-rounders available for purchase yet, but hopefully it is just a matter of time.

At the moment, I am not sure if I want to screw with that company’s inventory situation at the moment, given how much difficulty they seem to be having getting their products to the market. ‘Course, this might be a good way to snag one myself…

    Is it a Ruger KSG?

  • RuffRidr

    @ RuffRidr:

LOL! Just realized my mistake. Of course I meant the Kel Tec KSG. It will take another couple of years for Ruger to come out with the exact same thing.

  • Bwah! I rather thought the “slip-up” was intentional, given that Ruger keeps using KelTec as their unofficial R&D department!

Anywise, that was one of the items Renegade and I were obliquely referencing, and, sadly, no, it is not. At this point, I figure it would be better of me to allow KelTec to ship those things to stores and customers rather than waste one on a T&E…
