Personally, I think shark is quite good if prepared properly. I haven’t seen any “faux-meat” products made of soy that didn’t taste like shit, so I think I’ll pass.
@ BobG: Well, between a wife that is allergic to shellfish and a sister-in-law that has decided to go completely non-meat, it might have been an interesting way to meet in the middle. Some of them are not bad… so long as you bury them in seasoning .
The trick, as with most things, is grilling it properly… I would provide you a quick-and-easy way to do it, but something tells me it would not be worth it .

It can’t be any worse than the squid jerky a lady from Taiwan gave me. It smelled like used guinea pig litter. It didn’t taste quite as bad though.

I can’t eat enough spices to make tofu taste good. If styrofoam could soak up water, it would have the same taste and texture of tofu.
