Well this is some interesting news from Coal Creek Armory:
This question has finally been answered.
Stay tuned. It’s going to get fun.
The “question” being what town Coal Creek Armory is going to open a second store in… Looks like they have decided.
Me? I am voting for D.C….

D.C. was my first thought, too. “One is not enough”, indeed.
San Fran was actually my first, with Chicago being my third
.
If they opened a shop in San Francisco I might bother to drive up there in the next few years just to watch hipster-beatnick heads explode, but there’s no other reason – The City has become a stinky turd of homeless wall-crappers and weirdo freaks.
I was hoping for something in/near Knoxville that might be closer to me. We’ve got Gunnys in Maryville. Frontier even further west. ORSA in Oak Ridge. How about Fountain City or Halls? Probably not since they have the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency Volunteer Rifle & Pistol Club John Sevier Hunter Education Center (or TWRAVRPCJSHEC for short).
@ DirtCrashr: It is definitely part of Kalifornistan that could slide off into the Pacific and hardly anyone would notice… or care.
@ Brick: I really have a hard time considering the John Sevier place a real “range” given their rather asinine rules and such… I agree that a self-defense-supporting range out that way could be useful, but you do know about the Norris PD one, right?
There were some rumors about CCA “procuring” Gunny’s, but I am not sure if those have panned out.
I think a location in North Knoxville (maybe Emory Rd/I-75 area) would make much more sense. An indoor range and shop would offer something that the TWRA range can’t.
Hell, an open field with a good backstop, a covered area, and non-anal range officers would offer something the TWRA range cannot…
