they say a picture is worth a thousand words

But sometimes adding some words to the picture greatly increases the overall impact:

bradycampaignterrorists

And that is, unfortunately, the God’s Honest Truth.  The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence Ownership cannot point to a single instance where any of the laws they have supported or do support have saved a single person’s life; however, there is one repeated, consistent theme in almost every major spree shooting in recent history:  armed resistance has stopped the murderer.  Sometimes that resistance comes from the lawfully-armed in the area, most times the resistance comes from the police, but in almost every case it is applied, the shooting stops.

Can the “gun control” supporters / anti-rights cultists point to a single “gun free zone” where a criminal has refrained from bringing a firearm because it might be illegal?  Maybe.  But I can definitively point to seemingly no end of “victim disarmament zones” where criminals knew their intended prey would be defenseless, and they exploited this situation to the best of their murderous abilities

Being an engineer, I am predominantly interested in what works, and relying on cute little signs to keep hardened, murderous thugs from carrying certain pieces of machined metal into an arbitrarily defined area simply does not work.  It is well past time to abandon “gun control” as a systematically failed experiment, and move on to other options that have a quantifiable history of being effective at least some of the time, unlike “gun control”, which has proven to be ineffective any time someone wants
