Apparently according to my subconscious, a revolver is the worst possible weapon available during the zombocalypse, especially if your ammunition is crappy enough that two out of three rounds are misfires, and if, for some reason, you do not carry speedloaders, speedstrips, or any form of loose ammo.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to reload a revolver out of a box of ammo while a zombie breaks through the back window of your car? I sense a new IDPA stage…
I had a similar dream about a Glock once.

Grahhh! Sometimes when I have almost no pocket and concealment options I’ll carry my 5-shot 642 and no reload.
Don’t think such things haven’t crossed my mind.
Better than nothing, but that IS being under-gunned.
@ AM: The situation would have been drastically improved if the ammunition had worked… Seemed like light strikes or really freakishly hard primers, from what I remember.
@ bluesun: Yeah, for some reason, the only thing I bothered to equip myself was a single wheely of indeterminate make or model. Apparently my subconscious also believed I needed a challenge…
@ Weer’d Beard: For your every-day applications, five rounds will probably be sufficient… there are, of course, exceptions, and this statement should not be taken as support of any kind of magazine restriction or regulation, but against an average mark 1 mod 0 mugger, five is enough.
Against a zombie horde, however, it ain’t squat!
