Observant readers will note that my instance of Baldr Odinson’s poll is no longer in its attention-grabbing location at the top of the left pagebar… Unlike the aforementioned coward, I have not taken the poll down, I have simply moved it towards the bottom of the left pagebar.
With 1028 votes at the time of my typing this post, only 16 are strongly in favor of more “gun control” legislation, 5 are somewhat for it, 4 could go either way, 12 are somewhat against it, and 988 are strongly against additional firearm-related legislation… oh, and three folks just wanted to have their votes tallied. At this point, I think it is fair to say that we are not going to see a rally on the part of the anti-rights cultists (despite my efforts to cattle-prod them into action), and it is very likely that the raw percentages are going to remain roughly as they are now, hence the move south so more-important elements of the pagebar can return to their original positions.
Thanks again to Baldr Odinson for coming up with the poll, and then taking the coward’s escape… without his wimping out (and Violent Indifference’s prompting), I never would have enjoyed the traffic bump this poll brought my weblog. You just have to love it when a bad plan backfires this hard!
