Karma WIN! wizardpc’s Neighborhood Edition

Last night my wife and I had a friend over to meet the puppy and have dinner. About 8:15 we sat down for dinner and started hearing sirens. We live just off a major secondary in our town and only a couple of miles from the Rescue Squad, so sirens are not infrequent.

After I heard the third or fourth siren, I decided to go out the back (where I can see that secondary street through the trees) to figure out where they were going. I saw blue lights reflected off the trees. The cops were in my neighborhood.

I walked out the front door and saw at least 4 patrol cars and 2 EMS vehicles down the street. Last year a lady that lives near where the commotion was had a heart attack so I figured it was related. Turns out, not so much. The neighbor across the street came over about 9pm to tell us what happened.

About 8 o’clock a 16 year old high schooler answered the front door and saw a gunman standing there. He slammed the door and the gunman fired 3 or 4 shots into the door. The teenager was hit but his injuries were not life threatening. My neighbor’s 15 year old daughter was on their back deck and heard the shots. She ran inside and told her stepfather, who walked out the front door just in time to see a black Suburban tearing out of the neighborhood.

I’ve lived in this town a little over a year now and have been a little suprised at the amount of teenage violence. I assumed this was an extension of that. Boy, was I wrong:

A 16-year-old boy is in jail Thursday, accused of trying to have his parents killed, said La Vergne police.

Police said it appears the teen had hired someone to kill his parents. He texted that he had “three stacks,” or $3,000, and that he was thinking about doing it himself but couldn’t bring himself to.

The parents and two other children in the house were not hurt.

So this kid hires some folks to kill his parents, and they end up shooting him instead? BWAAAAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Karma, how I love thee! This went rapidly from a tragic story to an awesome anecdote for everyone but the family.

  • Ahhh life, she is a female dog sometimes no?

  • An acceptable contract killer rate is $1500 /person? Wow life is cheap. And people wonder why we keep guns to protect ourselves.

I don’t know what the price I figured someone would murder someone else for, but I assumed it would have been higher than $1500. Amazing that someone would be willing to end someones life, and likely throw their own away in the process for the amount of money they could get by working less than a month at even a place like McDonalds.

  • Whoa–read that story at a couple different places today, crazy that it happened next door to you!

So….the 16 year old managed to cobble together three grand from his paper route money?

  • @ Mike-ENDOtactical:
it’s worse than that. Apparently there were FOUR people involved, so $750/person.

But hey now I get to say there was an assassination squad operating in my neighborhood.

Your Fed Govt is willing to kill you for $131 in TAXES. 76 people in Waco didn’t pay or ask ‘mother-may-I’. Can’t let them uppity peasants have too much freedom ya know.
