Two of my N-frames have the same rectangular looking ejector, and the markings and visible screw are in the right spots for a Smith. I don’t know about the finish; it looks matte like my 625JM, but maybe that’s a trick of the light.
The crane-thingy’s blending looks much nicer than Rugers usually do, and much more like a S&W… but I’m stubborn, and don’t want to jump ship just yet. I’d go with Security Six still.

@JP – Not yet. If it’s a Ruger non-GP100, I’m not sure how to tell a Security, Service, or Speed Six apart without seeing butt shape.
That view is identical to my 686 Smith, except it hasn’t been fired as much as mine.
