I just spent the last three hours filling this thing‘s bags about 12 times – for reference, that is enough to just about fill our 55-gallon trash can, put a thick layer on top of our garden, and fill the remaining half of our compost bin.
… And the leaves in Knoxville are just starting to turn. Stupid droughts.
In other news, ground up dead leaves do not taste very good…

I read “ground un dead leaves don’t taste very good” and I thought “OH NO! ZOMBIE TREES!”
Now there is a “What caliber?” question!
I think at a minimum you’d want something like the .577 Tyrannosaur or .600 Overkill. Something that torques the rifle out of your hands as the bullet spins down the barrel.
Ahh, but then the debate becomes “quality or quantity” – seems a 7.62 chaingun could do a world of hurt on a hardwood…
How about both–what caliber would you consider a B-52 bombing run?
I must say that’s one of the best things about the massive pit in our back yard from where the old above-ground swimming pool had sunk into the earth. I just rake my leaves into a wheel-barrow and then dump them into the pit. When its finally leveled off, or maybe mounded up a bit, I’ll buy a few bags of top soil and attempt to plant grass on it and reclaim it as usable yard space. Until then its a nice place to dump organic waste!
@bluesun – “Big.”
@Weer’d Beard – We have a depression kind of like that, but it is all the way in the back 40, and this was all in the front yard / driveway. Probably would have taken more time to chase all the leaves back there. Still, up your way, I would be somewhat loathe to get anywhere near a hole like that…
