		<description>The man who made sure the 24th Amendment was passed was a Democrat-- Spessard Holland.  My grandfather made &quot;got out the vote&quot;-- LEGALLY, no less-- and made sure Holland went to the Senate.  In return, Spessard Holland is almost unknown.
