If firearm manufacturers managed to produced products like this, they simply would not be able to keep them in stock. Of course, that magazine gives me a case of the raging heebie-jeebies (but, then, so did the P90′s, which employs the same kind of 90-degree twist), the ergonomics of the grip could end up being nightmarish, and I could never afford the PDW version, but when compared to “modern” firearms (which, with a very few exceptions, have not changed significantly for… oh… 40 years, if not more), “innovative” does not begin to cut it.
Unfortunately, “innovative” and “appeals to the gamer crowd” do not necessarily equate to “functional” or “effective” – if they did, the world would be a significantly more-awesome place.

God I hate the P90.
I think when it comes to guns simple is always better.
