Remember the new Tennessee-based 1911 manufacturer we discussed a few times beforehand?
Looks like they have finally gotten around to setting up their promised range day:
In an effort to make this event open to as many people as we can it is going to be held June 27 2010 at The Great Outdoors Store in Jackson TN from 1:00 to 4:00. During the summer months the range is closed on Sundays so this way we will have it all to ourselves. The range is air conditioned and well lit if you have never been to this store you will enjoy the chance to visit a nice store and with some of the really great people they have there.
As previously mentioned, driving five hours one-way to put a few hundred rounds through a brand-spanking new 1911 simply is not on my priority list at the moment, but I expect full range reports from the folks who are out that way and do attend (*fwap*).
I guess it is time for the proverbial rubber to hit the proverbial road, and for us to see whether or not the firearms live up to the metric craptonne of hype that preceeded them.
