I had a couple of skeletons of posts rattling around in my head that I was considering fleshing out and posting today, but then I stumbled across this news report and lost all interest whatsoever.
Robb and Jay G cover the situation far more eloquently than I could ever hope to… and with significantly more-judicious application of four-letter words.
Every day, our country seems to be betraying our forefathers and Founding Fathers just a little bit more… this has to stop.

Linoge,
It is absolutely scary how many people, even gunnies, are willing to defend this.
I’m appalled that each and every citizen isn’t yelling at the newspapers, the radio, the TV and internet in disgust.
I mentioned it to a younger (mid-30s) co-worker and he was okay with it. The mentality of the government should keep us safe at all cost is something that I find incredible.
This man committed no crime. This citizen broke no law. This individual threatened no one. And yet he had the SWAT team called on him for… nothing.
No wonder criminals are running rampant in our cities and towns – the cops are too busy turning normal, average citizens into test-run targets.
Unfortunatly, I sincerely believe that the fact that he was buying firearms is contributing to the acceptance some people are displaying to this incident – just like 50 years ago, when “police actions” against blacks for no apparent reason was acceptable, he is being treated as a second-class citizen for no better reason than exercising his rights.
That this will undoubtedly go unpunished is a travesty.
