Ron Ramsey coming to Nashville TFA Meeting

Nashville Chapter is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, February 16, 2010

Meeting time is 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm

Guest: Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey. Ron Ramsey was in the House of Representatives when I first started “spending” time at the Legislature as a grassroots activist and unpaid/uncompensated/volunteer lobbyist. Since that time, he has been elected to the Senate and now serves in the highest ranking office in the Senate – that of Lt. Governor. Ron Ramsey is still serving at the Lt. Governor and it also running for the position of Governor of the state of Tennessee. He has been a long time and long term friend of Tennessee’s gun owners. I encourage you to come to the meeting and share with Ron Ramsey how gun owners would like to see the laws changed.

WARNING The Golden Corral normally holds about 85 in the meeting room. Often times, people are still eating during the meeting. We may not be able to indulge that for this meeting depending on the turnout. We may be “standing room” only if we have a large turnout. So, special turnout rules are going to apply:

Arrive early – 5:00 to 5:30 would be good. Eat in the meeting room if possible and if not, get as close as you can. We will try finishing eating by 7:00 in the meeting room to clear out everything but drinks for the meeting if we have a large turnout.

Also, we plan to live stream the session as we tested last year. If things go well, this session will be broadcast live on TFAlive. We do not think we will be able to accept phone calls for this meeting (a feature we are working on) but we should be able to accept a few questions through internet live chat.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO PAY AT GOLDEN CORAL AS YOU COME IN FOR THE MEETING IF YOU ARE EATING. TELL THEM THAT AT THE CASH REGISTER THAT YOU ARE THERE FOR THE MEETING AND TO APPLY THE “GROUP RATE” WHICH SHOULD BE $9.99 PLUS TAX INCLUDING YOUR DRINK.

You do not have to be a TFA member to attend nor do you have to be a resident of Nashville. Everyone is welcome and encourage to bring guests – even spouses.

I want to encourage each of you to bring someone with you to the meeting who has not been to one or been to one recently. There’s no cost to come (unless you eat because the meal is on you).

Feel free to leave questions for the Lt. Gov. in the comments. I’ll try to get them answered. Also, the TFALive thing is pretty cool. I watched a TFA Meeting live on a 42″ Plasma while in Richmond, VA. Even got to ask some questions via the chat room.

Also, the Obion County Chapter’s monthly meeting is this Friday.

The Obion County / Union City Region Chapter Meeting will be Friday February 12th.
