I have to admit, we have some pretty cruddy neighbors around this part of the country… Welp, given that I have personally experienced hurricanes and wildfires, I guess an earthquake was only a matter of time.

Wow, read through that quickly. Not good news nor something that I had gave much thought to unfortunately.
Now I may have to start thinking of about contingency plans; the Wife’s (she who lets me make her coffee every morning) father and many cousins lives in Chattanooga.
Erf. ‘Nooga is pretty much a sucky location from every direciton – it is going to be first-hit on any evacuations from Nashville or Atlanta, and it is a chokepoint for highways (a chokepoint that is currently under construction). Getting from where you are to them (or vice versa) after the New Madrid Fault lets loose would be… difficult.
