The 2010 TN State Legislative Session begins today at Noon. They’ll start actually doing things tomorrow, but I believe that they’ll just be doing Education work until next week.
I finally got the keys to my house on Friday, and spent the weekend collecting various lent-out pieces of furniture and depositing them in the garage. (I have a garage! w00t!). We plan on moving this Saturday, and pretty much spending the rest of January getting settled in the space.
My client has requested my services on a new project that begins full force on February 1. The way they are talking, I’m going to be VERY busy this year.
Which brings me to my point: I may not be able to provide those as-they-happen legislative updates this year like I was last year. Last Spring I was in what we call “firefighter mode.” I basically sat around and waited for something to break so I could swoop in and fix it. I had loads of time on my hands to watch the hearings and the votes.
Posting from me will likely be light, especially the first bit of the session. I’m hoping I can go more in-depth later on–when we’re late in the session and votes are being tossed around.
The bulk of my posts until then will probably be copy-paste jobs from TFA-LAC Alerts.
Again, I’m going to do what I can, I just want set appropriate expectations.
