Weer'd: Y'all done good! We can only hope this is an indicator of how 2010 will go, hopefully across the board, as far as I am concerned.
Hsoi: Oh, I certainly harbor no illusions about how things will go in the future, and how many compromises he will make and how many principles he will have to abandon - until we get rid of humans, politicians will always do that. However, you are absolutely right - this election was less about Brown himself, and more about what the people did - they rejected the status quo in Washington, and voted for something different. They stood up for what they believed in, and that is not what Washington is peddling.
And we can only hope that trend continues.

If history has taught us anything, it's that Scott Brown has a high likihood of being or becoming just as much of a backstabbing, backroom-dealing, corrupt, self-serving jackass as the rest of them in Washington. Yeah, call me cynical. :-)
Still, I do like what happened here. It brings about 59-41, and the greater notion that he got elected... given the state, given the history of "the holy Kennedy seat".... it is more about sending quite the message to all of Washington.
It will be interesting to watch what happens now.... especially as they jockey towards November.
