Remember Charles Daly’s attempts at importing the Israeli Tavor for the American market? I have a somewhat unfortunate (though already expected) update: based on the two comments below from Michael Kassnar, the President of KBI Inc. (the company that owns the CD brand), the Charles Daly Tavor will not be at the upcoming SHOT Show:

With production delays being what they are (in addition to idiotic legal and importation hurdles), I would say we have a pretty good chance of seeing the Tavor at the 2011 SHOT Show. That said, I guess I should see about renewing my lapsed NRA membership… anyone else going to be at the NRA Annual Meeting?

Remember the Israeli-made Tavor that was going to be imported to America as a civilian-legal firearm, courtesy of the efforts of Charles Daly? Something tells me that Charles Daly’s managing corporation, KBI, going out of business might throw a monkey…
