the hands go ’round and ’round

I guess you could say that I have always been something of an engineer, whether I had the documentation to support that claim or not. As a child, I was fascinated with anything that had gears, motors, and electronics, which naturally resulted in me eventually being fascinated with watches. Unfortunately, as a child (and even to today), I had a somewhat-natural tendency to break pretty darned near anything I owned unless it was of very high durability or I was very careful with it.
What can I say? I am a klutz…
These days, though, I figure I can get away with getting relatively nice things, and can occasionally afford those nice things as well… Nice things like tag heuer watches… Or not, really – even on the substantial discounts offered by that particular webpage, I cannot come anywhere close to affording (or rationalizing) those gorgeous hunks of gears and motivators.
Casios, on the other hand… Of course, with Christmas literally around the corner at the moment, and free second day shipping anywhere in the continental United States, I wonder if anyone left on our Christmas list would appreciate a well-crafted hunk of engineering. After all, it is always useful for us absent-minded technical folks to know exactly how far behind we are running…
