Man Doesn’t Break Law in State Park

…is detained for two and a half hours by NINE law enforcement officers.
To be honest, I don’t know what he was thinking, because according to the news story, he had an AK pistol slung over his back, walking through the park wearing BDU’s and a watch cap.
Actually, that’s not true. I do know what he was thinking. He was thinking he’d stage a Flying Imam situation and sue the state and the officers involved.
Also, it looks like this guy has painted his muzzle orange “to avoid getting shot.”
As they said over at Tennessee Gun Owners, this guy is bad news for us.
STOP HELPING DUDE.
ETA: Here is the news story. Uploaded by the guy. Complete with text commentary. BONUS: He plans on carrying at Bicentennial Mall next week. For those who don’t know, that park is in downtown Nashville, at the base of the State Legislature

  • Yep, not helping by being an ass. We all known what the laws intent was,and an AK modified to be a pistol isn’t it.
For this is the sort of behavior that gives all gun owner who carry a bad image with the sheepish public.

  • To put it simply, the guy is a tool. He got his happy ass banned from TGO, through his assholeness, he convinced the Costcos in whatever region of TN he lives in to actually post their premises as off limits to carried firearms, and he generically comes across as being entirely of his gorramed rocker.
“Not helping” is a bloody understatement.

  • ishida

Apparently, in the OpenCarry.Org thread, he actually stated that he had switched it around to hang on his chest halfway through his walk, nust just his back. He IS off his gorramed rocker, and that’s an understatement.

  • legally losing friends

By now, pretty much the entire country has probably heard about Leonard Embody carrying his “AK-47-style” handgun into Radnor Lake State Park in Nashville last weekend, and I want to thank WizardPC for fielding the story while I was more-or-less…
