even where they are “winning”

… the anti-rights advocates of the world are actually losing.
Given a country where there have been numerous firearm confiscations disguised as “buy-backs”, unending legislation controlling and limiting the private ownership of firearms, and an overall anti-firearm leaning among the public, why am I not surprised that there is not only a market for these kinds of entertainment items, but also that they are manufactured in this country?
Oh. Right. Because the shooting sports are fun, regardless of any legalities involved.
Leave it to the Australians to take the concept of “laser tag” to the whole next level, and produce some fairly interesting hardware in the process.
For my continental readers, there is at least one place here in the states currently fielding the S*A*T*R technology, and while this is a decent skim of the surface, I certainly would like to learn more. Paintball was always a blast… the bruising, less so, and for us optically-challenged occasional players, not having to wear a mask sounds great. On the flip side, I wonder if the technology is accurate enough to be used for report-less target shooting (though the lack of a recoil is not benefical for post-introductory training).
