in review

Once again, we are going to look at the performance and statistics of this particular webpage over the last year. Just like the last time we did this, I am going to use Google Analytics data, with the repeated warning...

Well, unfortunately, it is looking like it may not matter, after the recent ruling about the supposed unconstitutionalness of the carry-in-restaurants-that-serve-alcohol bill.
Of course, I have no idea whether or not Lili's actually serves alcohol...

I am only in the Pulaski neck of the woods perhaps twice a year. However, I will go out of my way to schedule my drives on highway 64 to coincide with a lunch or dinner time in the Pulaski area. I wish we could get at least TEN signs like this up for every 'anti' HCP sign at restaurants in Tennessee.

I honestly think that most people, as you said, do not even consider the possibility of "average" people carrying around firearms... Culture/society/Hollywood has convinced them that only police officers, criminals, and soldiers do that on a regular basis, and everyone else is simply a witless bystander, victim, or background. It took my parents even a little while to get used to the concept of me carrying around a firearm, and while they asked about my license and whether or not I use it, I am still not sure if they realize how regularly I use it.
Unfortunately, carrying at work is strictly verboten, but even so, people occasionally hit me up for gunny advice, and I have not really advertised it all that much. Of course, where I work, people routinely take a week or two off to hunt, so I think I am ok :).

That's a very good point! Most people don't know what LTC, HCP, CCW et al is. Hell most people don't even realize that people can carry guns around (A good reason for Open Carry).
I'm very open about being a gunnie at work. I also carry every day. Also I talk about conceal carry laws and personal defense whenever relevant. Whenever there is a defensive or offensive shooting in the news people in the office want to hear my take.
You'd think somebody would have put two-and-two together and asked me. Hell I've even dropped leading questions on a few occasions and some of my closest coworkers have NO idea!
Out of sight, out of mind.

Ayup - unless you are involved in the debate, you are not likely to know what "HCP" means, and "welcoming" things is good, right? :)
