hiding behind them

With winter storming Eastern Tennessee by force these days, one of the considerations Better Half and I will have for our future house will be window treatments. Window treatments? Well, in addition to blocking out sunlight, Peeping Toms, and other such things, a lot of pleated curtains these days also have insulated backings, turning them into part of your home’s overall thermal efficiency plan. Not a lot of people think about it, but a fair bit of energy can escape out your windows, especially if they are single-pane, and curtains may not stop that leakage entirely, but they will certainly cut down on it a little.
Yeah, being green is important and all, but the larger detail, to me, is saving money, and a few bucks spent on a set of insulated curtains will probably be recovered in very short order. And when it comes to spending money to save money, SHOP.COM might help you out a little.
