The ringleader (who shall remain nameless, in accordance with this webpage’s policy) of the band of inhuman monsters who tortured and murdered Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom in January of 2007 was found guilty yesterday on all counts of murder, kidnapping, and robbery, of Christian’s rape, and of facilitating Newsom’s rape. This guilty verdict opens the door for the state prosecutors to pursue their end goal: putting the murderer to death.
However, there is something interesting to note about this verdict – it was passed down sometime yesterday morning (before 1100, so far as I can tell), and yet over 24 hours later, I can find a sum total of only 15 news articles referencing the ruling, and only one of those was written by a non-local source (in this case, the AP).
Are the unfortunate deaths of two young adults, and the guilty verdict of one of their murderers, insufficiently interesting to make national news? Or do the facts that the two victims were white and that their kidnappers, robbers, rapists, and murderers were black not meet with the standard media narrative?
How coincidental that Our Glorious President just signed the erroneously-named “Hate Crime Prevention Act”, yet the gruesome, vicious, violent kidnapping, robbing, raping, and murdering of two white individuals by a group of black individuals is somehow not a hate crime.
A theory is that the media is intentionally keeping this disgusting crime and resulting judicial process quiet, for just the above reasons, and while I have never been a tremendous fan of conspiracy theories, one does have to wonder about the nationwide near-dead-silence on the topic. After all, just imagine the unbridled outrage if the ethnicities of the victims and scumbags were reversed…
