compare – contrast

A few weeks back, a substantial number of concerned American citizens marched to the Capitol to express their displeasure at how the American government has been run over the past few decades/centuries. There was no rioting. There was no violence. There was no destruction of private or public property. There were no arrests (at least none that I am aware of, and I would guess such things would have been trumpeted to the four corners of the ‘verse if they had happened).
On the other hand, G20 had some conference or another in Pittsburg recently, and I could not get through my “weekend-off weblog catch-up” without multiple reports on the violence, destruction, and rioting surrounding those conferences, up to and including the first field use of a directed-sound weapon against United States citizens.
I leave my readers to draw their own conclusions.
