Back in June of this year, late-term abortion doctor George Tiller was murdered, and the left side of the political spectrum used this illegal, unquestionably wrong act as an excuse to castigate the entire right side of the spectrum / pro-choice movement / Christian religion / all of the above, depending on their particular moods and opinions. One site in specific had no fewer than four separate posts concerning the murder, with its author going so far as to call all pro-life advocates “domestic terrorists”, blame talk-show hosts for daring to speak their minds, and embark on her own private tirade filled with “inflammatory rhetoric” (also, hypocritically, the author’s own words).
Last friday, an anti-abortion activist, James Pouillon, and another man were murdered by a third man who was “offended” by the anti-abortion materials the first man was displaying. So where is the outrage from the left side of the political spectrum? Where are the unending parade of headlines across liberal/left/progressive weblogs and websites decrying this man’s death, like there were when Tiller was murdered? In a word, nowhere.
Oh, and that weblog with the no-fewer-than-four posts concerning Tiller’s murder? Not a peep.
I guess, to some people, the deaths of individuals at one end of a political spectrum are more deplorable than the deaths of individuals at the other end…
Speaking personally, I believe murder, any murder, is wrong, and I believe anyone performing such an act should be prosecuted and punished to the fullest extent of the law. Furthermore, I believe both of those things regardless of the political affiliations of the murderer or the victim.
I guess it is beliefs like that which make me such a right-wing “extremist”, rather than a “liberal” hypocrite, and, honestly, I am happier that way.

Yep, all the anti-gun bigots talk a big talk about how much they care about lives lost.
But God forbid somebody was killed with a hammer or a knife…or committed suicide by pills or rope…or was killed by a left-wing freak.
Well they really don’t care about that life.
As with all bigots, anti-rights advocates only care about the injustices of the world when those injustices can be used to further their own particular causes.
As I mentioned before, and linked to in my post, the concept of “liberal” and “gun-control” are inherently mutually exclusive, and this particular sequence of murders only futher substantiates that point.
