So casa-de-WotC recently got a new sucker… er… vacuum cleaner. This is what our old vacuum cleaner pulled out of the carpet on a complete run through our apartment last night:

For reference, the old vacuum is a five-year-old Dirt Devil Vision Turbo
, and the new one is, of course, a Dyson DC25 Animal Ball. And, granted, a lot of the grey dust you see in the Dyson is actually caught in the filter of the Dirt Devil, so the photographic comparison is not 100% accurate, but even aside from that… I think I am sold. The Dyson is not cheap, but if it can keep sucking like that, I definitely think it was worth it.
We’ve had our Dyson over a year now, and it still “sucks” as good as it did the day we got it.

I just like things that do what they are advertised to do, and the Dyson seems to do that in spades… I might almost start worrying for the integrity of the contractor-grade carpet in my apartment…
