Apparently, some guy named Jim over at The Outdoor Wire (a webpage I have honestly never visited before) is reporting that the “blogosphere was rolling Friday and through the weekend with the story of the demise – or impending demise- of Daniel Defense”.
The only problem? There was no such “story”. Ironically enough, Jim was making up rumors about rumors (meta-rumors?), and then blaming the nebulous “blogosphere” for the fabricated ill-will against Daniel Defense (who is not closing, but is downsizing).
Cute. I guess being a professional “journlist” like him gives him the editorial lee-way to invent complete nonsense, and use a supposedly faceless “blogosphere” as a scapegoat. Hm. Far be it for me to tell anyone else how to do their jobs, but in this day and age of “new media”, that strikes me as a particularly unwise decision – a decision that he keeps making. Might want to mind that chip on your shoulder, Jimbo…

Always mind your language, otherwise you will say stupid things, and have to make apologies like this one: Having heard from a couple of bloggers yesterday, I am going to plead guilty to an inexact application of the word “blogosphere”….
