So apparently Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy died this morning. I am trying to come up with a reason why his death should be treated any differently than the death of any other individual commonly viewed as an arrogant, drunken, totalitarianistic, anti-rights, self-absorbed, socialistic, philandering, condescending, nepotistic killer… but it just is not coming to me.
Why should I care about this individual’s death any more than the thousands (millions?) of other deaths that took place today?
Regardless, here is to hoping that Mary Jo Kopechne can finally rest quietly, if she is not already. Despite finally succumbing to brain cancer, his death was probably more peaceful than hers.

Senator Kennedy is dead
in disgust
In case I did not make my position perfectly clear before, a man who would maliciously joke about a woman he negligently killed deserves to be reviled, not remembered. (Courtesy of Breda.)…
