the buck stops over there somewhere

It seems as though Joe Biden, our halfwit Vice President, can finally get around to admitting the obvious: not only is the “stimulus plan” a bad idea now, it was a bad idea when it was passed, too:

“No one realized how bad the economy was. The projections, in fact, turned out to be worse. But we took the mainstream model as to what we thought — and everyone else thought — the unemployment rate would be.”

“Everyone guessed wrong at the time the estimate was made about what the state of the economy was at the moment this was passed.”

Uh, no, Joe, not “everyone” – I seem to recall standing around with 2000 or so fellow Americans, and we were all trying to express to you just how very wrong you were. In fact, by conservative estimates, there were over half-a-million people around the country who were trying to let you know just how very wrong you were.
You refused to listen.
And now that stubborn idiocy is going to come home to roost.
You are undoubtedly going to drag down the American economy with this poorly-planned and horrifically-executed debt-expansion program, but I can promise you this – you will not be allowed to shirk the responsibility you share for this disaster, nor will you be permitted to spread it to those who actively objected to it.
