are they sure?

If Americans these days had any idea what “conservative” actually meant, this might actually be good news. But I wonder if the outcome would be the same if people were not asked to self-identify, but rather asked whether or not they supported certain programs (or something similar), and their political leanings determined from that.
At least the majority of Americans say they oppose socialism, though it is disgusting how many do not…
