One of the things all of my engineering, management, and even english classes repeatedly stressed is that, “Pictures are good things.” If you can express your concept in an accurate, representative graphical construct, then you probably stand a much better chance of getting your point across to your audience than if you just stand up in front of them and drone on for text-filled slide after text-filled slide. Granted, some data simply cannot be portrayed graphically, but when it comes to national budgets, they are thankfully quite well suited to graphs, like the one below:

That image was generated by the Heritage Foundation in an article showing how President Bush may have started the current trend of massive government spending, but President Barack Hussein Obama has taken that ball, and is approaching light speed with it.
What most amuses me out of this entire situation is not that the government is spending money – that is one of the two things it exists to do (the other being taking that money from its citizens). Rather, I am quite amused at the number of leftist morons (but I repeat myself) who were decrying President Bush as the downfall of America due to his spending habits, and who are either remaining silent in the face of this unprecedented deficit, or actually having the nerve to cheer it on. The hypocrisy of the left knows no bounds, eh?
