silence from the fourth estate

Unsurprisingly, there has been no response to my letter to the staff of the Commercial Appeal. I say “unsurprisingly” because I am quite certain I am not the only individual who contacted them.
Blue Collar Muse left them all voicemails, as did Liberal CCW.
The Right of Self defense did what I did, and contacted both the Commercial Appeal and his state legislator (I have not heard back from him, either).
DoublePlusUndead, Les Jones, Shooting the Messenger, Michael Silence, An Ol’ Broad’s Ramblings, Say Uncle, Pax Parabellum, and Truman’s Take all make their displeasure known on the world wide web.
Right at Home, Shots Across the Bow, and Rustmeister all demonstrated that turnabout is, in fact, fair play.
The Pulse of KC3 rubs it in that this kind of thing would never happen in Kentucky (in our defense, we are working on HB0053).
And even the NRA has weighed in on the situation by sending out an email to all its members (only about 24-48 hours behing the curve – not too bad for them).
There is no such thing as bad publicity, but daymn, this is going to leave a mark.

Three days later, no response. Granted, they might be busy, but the database is still up and operational… just partially hidden behind pretty graphs and text. Time to level the playing field a little. This information has undoubtedly been reposted…

It seems as though the Commercial Appeal just cannot stop rationalizing away their “logic” for posting the searchable database of handgun carry permit holders… methinks they dost protest too much. Oh well, it gives me blogfodder, and lets me flex…

Crap on a crutch… the staff of the Commercial Appeal just cannot keep their mouths shut: Martino Johnson, charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Terrelle Beasley this week after a minor traffic accident, held a Tennessee-issued pe…

(I tried to make an independent, non-dated “page” containing this information, but I seem to have broken that aspect of my weblogging engine. I will strive to keep this page updated as best I can, so feel free to refer…
