		<description>No, I did not end up purchasing the TA-2 - instead, it turned out that a Kershaw was a better option for me, and it is currently riding around in my pocket.
Which of my above comments would you categorize as rumors, exactly? If you can provide substantative evidence indicating that they are, in fact, nothing more than rumors, I will have absolutely no problems retracting them or rephrasing them. What I did was simply repost what was well-documented elsewhere - if you have problems with the information, I suggest you take it up with the originators, to whom I linked.
I did see the knives in person - I confess that they are stylistically quite intriguing, but when handling them in my hand, they neither fit my requirements, nor seemed particularly high-quality. Both of those failures are entirely subjective, but since I was the one with the money, I did not purchase them.
Any other questions?

		<description>did you ever actually buy the knife (TA-2)? Or are you planning on continuing to perpetuate rumors and talk about Mantis and their knives without ever actually seeing them in person OR calling the company? :)

		<description>&lt;strong&gt;assisting myself&lt;/strong&gt;

One of the advantages of taking a vacation in the back hills of the Sevierville region (pictures to follow once I look through them) is that you almost have to drive past the Smokey Mountain Knife Works coming or going....

		<description>I have actually been eyeing those rather seriously... But they strike me as the kind of thing that one needs to first handle before purchasing. Thankfully, we will be headed out towards the uber-knife-store in our area next week, and I will probably have the opportunity.
Thanks for the suggestion, though :).

		<description>Have you looked at the Kabar TDI fixed blades? They have a curve similar to the Karambit, and I love mine. I have the TDI KA-1480, and picked up the metal belt clip instead of the polymer belt loops, and I wear it almost every day.
I can certainly recommend it! It&#039;s a good companion on the other side of my hip from my EMP.
