going on record

I am not normally one for speculation/guesswork/prognostication/augury/any of that fun stuff, but I figured I should go ahead and make this prediction known so I can dance around and say, “I told you so,” if it comes true (which will be small consolation, granted, but at least something).
I will be very surprised if the new President does not sign an executive order relating to firearms, ammunition, and/or the sales/shipping of them within the first week of his administration.
Given that President-Elect Barack Hussein Obama already has a shopping list of executive orders he apparently plans on signing as soon as he becomes President, this prediction of mine is not exactly a shocking one, nor one without any basis to support it. However, it does raise the interesting question of just how binding are executive orders? There is no mention of them in the Constitution, they simply exist outside of America’s framework of checks and balances, with effectively no oversight and almost no recourse. Yeah, that makes me feel comfortable.
At this point, the only question is how highly the new President’s desires to abridge our Second-Amendment-protected rights ranks among his other priorities… apologists and supporters would have us believe they are nowhere on his list at all, while his webpage and history indicate otherwise.
In any case, this is one of those situations where I will be more than happy to be wrong. Time will tell.

And I am man enough to admit it. A little over a week ago, I made a prediction that President Barack Hussein Obama was going to sign an executive order relating to firearms, ammunition, and/or the sales/transportation of them within…
