So I admit it – I did not finish this particular news article. I got as far as the blockquote below (all of two paragraphs into the reporting), and fell out of my chair laughing:
As gun sales shoot up around the country, President-elect Barack Obama said Sunday that gun-owning Americans do not need to rush out and stock up before he is sworn in next month.
“I believe in common-sense gun safety laws, and I believe in the second amendment,” Obama said at a news conference. “Lawful gun owners have nothing to fear. I said that throughout the campaign. I haven’t indicated anything different during the transition. I think people can take me at my word.”
We are taking him at his word, and that is the problem. President Elect Barack Hussein Obama has already expressed his desires to make the Assault Weapon Ban permanent, while simultaneously destroying the concept of private-party sales by closing the mythical “gun show loophole”. President-Elect Barack Hussein Obama has discriminated against firearm owners. President Barack Hussein Obama wants to allow liability lawsuits to be brought against firearm manufacturers for crimes that users commit, which will undoubtedly damage the financial standings of most firearm manufacturers, and put the smaller ones out of business (this would be akin to bringing legal action against alcohol distilleries for the crimes and actions of drunk drivers). President-Elect Barack Hussein Obama voted for banning any firearms having a caliber of .50 or greater, and any semi-automatic firearm that has a magazine capacity in excess of five rounds. President-Elect Barack Hussein Obama supported the District of Columbia’s handgun ban (before he opposed it, that is).
And we law-abiding gun-owners have nothing to fear? Well, if “nothing” is equivalent to having certain evil-looking firearms confiscated and no longer available for purchase, manufacturers going out of business due to pointless and misguided lawsuits, not being able to sell firearms to one another, and not having handguns available to us for self-defense (oh, yeah, President-Elect Barack Hussein Obama is against self-defense, too), then, yeah, I guess that would be “nothing”. Personally, I tend to run with the dictionary definition, myself…
I really need to get in touch with a few people about finishing up B.O.M.B.E.R. – in my buying binge, I remembered that flash suppressors were banned under the last “ban on cosmetic features that look evil”, but somehow forgot that threaded barrels were also banned… I need to snag my upper before the 20th of January, that much is for certain.

paper-thin lies
For all of the liars, anti-rights-mouthpieces, and uninformed out there who are peddling the lie that NRA-endorsed candidates lost 80% of their races, here are the cold, hard facts: Of the 23 candidates for the U.S. Senate endorsed by the…
more equal
President-elect Barack Obama has yet to relent, but he conceded that he might be losing the battle to keep his independent lifeline to the outside world. “I’m still clinging to my BlackBerry,” Mr. Obama said Wednesday. “They’re going to pry…

I am not normally one for speculation/guesswork/prognostication/augury/any of that fun stuff, but I figured I should go ahead and make this prediction known so I can dance around and say, “I told you so,” if it comes true (which will…
