For all of the liars, anti-rights-mouthpieces, and uninformed out there who are peddling the lie that NRA-endorsed candidates lost 80% of their races, here are the cold, hard facts:
Of the 23 candidates for the U.S. Senate endorsed by the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund, the NRA-endorsed candidate won in at least 15 of these races, with the outcome still uncertain in Minnesota (still undecided). Assuming Minnesota comes out as a win for NRA, that’d be 16/25, or 64%.
Of the 248 candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives endorsed by the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund, the NRA-endorsed candidate won in at least 216 of these races, with the outcome still uncertain in six races, including CA-4, LA-4, MD-1, OH-15, VA-5 and WA-8. That’s an 84% victory rate, not even including the districts still in question.
NRA-endorsed candidates won 85.24% of their races, on average, across both houses in Congress.
Furthermore, the question of gun control was pretty much a non-issue throughout the entire election. The topic never came up in debates. Hell, then-Senator Barack Hussein Obama even went so far as to create a false-flag organization to make him look more pro-gun-rights. That must have hurt the Brady Bunch, especially after they went so far as to endorse him (all the more reason to take him at his word, right?).
After being collectively ignored in the past election, you can hardly blame the hoplophobic anti-rights folks for lying through their teeth to try and make themselves look more important and feel better about their lot in life. Granted, it is a pretty sad lie that is easily disproven, and just makes them look all manner of asinine, but that is really nothing new for them now, is it?
