It is that time of the year again, other gunnies are putting up their Christmas lists, and since I seem to be running a bit dry on material at the moment, I figure I may as well follow suit. Uninspired? Me? Never. Or something…
1. That Del-Ton can finish all of their in-process orders and backorders by Christmas Eve. (Hey, I can be greedily altruistic!)
2. A house that I can put a hardened and secure gun/safe room in.
3. A suitable home-defense shotgun (currently waffling between coach guns and a Remington 870 – leaning towards the latter).
4. An IDPA-eligible 1911 with magazines, a holster, and the rest of the necessary accouterments.
5. Either a silenced or lever-action .22. Or both. Or a combination of the two. That would work too.
Something tells me not to be expecting any of those by the time Ol’ Saint Nick starts splattering himself all over the sky, though…

What I’d love to find in my gun stocking
What I’d love to find in my gun stocking
I already got my presents, four big heavy round black rubbery Michelin tires on the truck.
As for the AR, buy some DIY equipment from Brownells and just build your own upper. I havn’t done that yet, but lowers are a piece of cake.
I had to get some new shoes for my 3 as well, though those were born out of necessity, and do not really count as Christmas presents
.
I would do a DIY build for the upper, except those seem to require some pretty specialized tools, and since I do not plan on going into gunsmithing, I do not really need that investment. Of course, the fact that Brownell’s is out of stock of pretty much all barrels, uppers, and BCGs does not help either… I do plan on building my own lower, but even that kit is backordered until hell freezes over.
