Thrift Shop circuit.
The monitors are something that you have to, if you do things the legal way, pay to have them disposed of properly. Or you can donate them to GoodWill for a tax write-off. Personally, I find them for free while curb-shopping.
I see the “unless priced differently” under the keyboards. Perhaps someone there knows of the IBM Model-M?
Well, the disposal depends on states, too, if I am not mistaken. Kalifornistan reqiured you to fork over megabucks to dispose of old CRT monitors when you were done with them, but I am not sure if Tennessee has the same rules.

Either way, if you just need a clunky old monitor, paying by the inch is not a bad way to procure them
I doubt it, about the keyboards… they were probably referring to the few “multimedia”-type keyboards they had out on the shelves.
