I have seen the Burj Dubai in person, and I can honestly say, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that these two gentlemn are bloody nuts.
Once you factor in the altitude, the legal system of the host country (remember, this is a Middle Eastern nation), the height, the planning, the up-ness, the cost of failure (both physical and legal), the altitude… Well, they are either absofragginglutely nuts, or they have balls the size of Pluto. Or both.
I can kind of see parachuting out of an aircraft that is on fire and breaking up, but Jesus, jumping for fun? Yikes.
Exactly. That is the only situation I can see myself jumping out of anything that would require a parachute for a live landing. Otherwise… these guys were nuts!
